Raspberry French Toast; French Toast With a Twist

No exact recipe for this. Hubs had seen in in passing on Food Network and he wanted to make it for Mina. We’re trying to raise a girl who actually LIKES to cook, and eventually know her way around the kitchen. So I suggested he have Mina help him. What did I do? Take pictures of course!

Ingredients:

  • Raspberries (Fresh is better, but all we had was frozen)
  • Sugar
  • Fig butter – We got ours from Trader Joe’s and it’s basically fig jam. I think any type of berry jam would do fine as substitute.
  • Sugar
  • Lemon
  • Bread
  • Butter
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Salt
  • Vanilla extract
  • Chocolate chips

In a blender, or what we used, a Magic Bullet,  mix the raspberries, sugar, a teaspoon of lemon. Mix to taste.

Once that’s finished, make your French toast. Click here to see how it’s made, using some of the above ingredients.

Once finished. Plate it, sprinkle with sugar, drizzle your raspberry creation, and then top it off with chocolate chips.

As you can see from the pictures, Mina enjoyed herself. It’s a fun and easy thing to make with a kiddo.

p.s. Don’t overcook your French toast like we did 🙂
