Obviously I’m completely failing at this National Photography Posting Month thing, as it is November 12 and I have a paltry three pictures posted. But I have my reasons.
One, I post on instagram all the time. I wanted to take this challenge as an opportunity to use my DSLR the way I haven’t been lately. It’s easy to take your camera, snap something, vignette it, put a filter and post. I wanted the slower, more work kind of photography. The one where I would actually have to use my eye. The one where I would have to change settings on my camera to get that right shot. It’s been difficult. And more rewarding.
Two, found that at the end of a work day I’m simply too tired to photograph and post something. Often there really isn’t anything to snap in the morning, and I’d rather stay in bed later. Three, on my days off I’ve just simply been too busy catching up with chores, errands, life.
I know, excuses, excuses, excuses. That doesn’t mean I’ve stopped. I’ve been snapping away at mostly Mina. Here are my catch up posts that really defeats the purpose of this little challenge, but is the best that I can do.
